Wow! This weekend was awesome! I just got back this morning.
Friday night, after working at Schmizza to make some extra cash, Rob and I went to his friend's party. I knew a lot of his friends, actually. It was strange. Shortly after arriving, we all decided to chill at a cemetary for a while. So, we drove out to Gales Creek Cemetary and smoked hookah and toked on the reefer for awhile. Rob and I had to hop someone's fence and steal water for the hookah. It was fun.
Rob and I spent Saturday exploring Jones and the Kilchis. We eventually made it to the hotel to check in and have some tea. We abruptly left to explore the cave at Oceanside where we found a Pelican! (He was so cool!) We stopped by Freddies to get ingredients for our stew. We made it back to the beach to have a massive (and I mean massive) bonfire. The stew was delicious, though a bit gritty with sand. We decided not to trip on the cyanesses that night and went back to the hotel room around 1 or 2 am. Sunday morning (more like afternoon; we slept really late) we barely made it to the check out desk on time. We went back to Oceanside for some brunch at the most wonderful little cafe/diner. T'was wonderful. They have hempmilk! Most awesome, tasty milk ever, by the way. After that, we headed back out on the Kilchis to do some hiking. This is when I realized just how much I appreciate Rob. Out of all the friends/boyfriends I have ever had, he is the most accomodating to my adventerous tendancies. Actually, he is more than accomodating; he's welcoming. He digs climbing around through underbrush and navigating river crossings as much as I do! It's really awesome. I have never even been friends with someone that is willing to go do crazy, dangerous things with me. It rocks. Also, we might be going to Hawaii this summer. His father has a time share in Kauai, so we might go stay there for a couple weeks. This would mean that I get to go sea kayaking and probably swim with underwater wildlife. I really need to get my diving certification. Rob already has his. Anyway, back to the point. We followed up our hike with a quick trip to cannon beach where I got a really cool pack handmade in Bolivia. We took the Sunset back home and hit camp18 on the way. By the way, Camp18 has the best mashed potatoes EVER. They made my heart sing a little.
Overall, awesome weekend!
Tomorrow I am going in to meet my class. It is a K/1 mix. I'll be with them four days a week, making $12per hour (tax free;thank god for federal work study). I'm really excited. What worksudy job could be more fun than reading to little kids?
Well, I am off to write my anthro paper. Wishing you all the best! *Peace and Love* ~Kate
