Birthday Blues.

So moving is a bitch. This past weekend was pretty hellish. Friday was my birthday and it pretty much sucked. I went down to my parents house the day before so I wouldn't be alone all day (travis had to work) but no one really wanted to do anything for whatever reason so I ended up going out to get haircut which came out really terrible and going to garage sales with my dad. Then my aunt, uncle and grandma were supposed to come over for cake and ice cream and they all canceled. Nice huh? Way to make me feel loved. And top it all off, I messed up my bank account and ended up over-drawing my account to pay for the shitty, terrible haircut I got. Oh and I didn't get any presents. For some reason, the past couple of years my birthdays have really sucked. And birthdays are something I get really excited about until they happen then no one ever really makes a big deal about them so I get disappointed and let down.

The next day me and Travis drove to Cleveland to pack the rest of our stuff. I didn't sleep that night at all. Then we had to wake up early the next day and finish packing before his mom and step-dad came down with a trailer to move our stuff. It was so much work. I can't even tell you how many trips up and down the stairs we made. My back hurt so badly half way through the process I really thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room or something. Living on the 3rd floor and moving is not a good combination. Not to mention the swarming bugs everywhere (every June on Lake Erie, these bugs called Canadian Soldiers swarm)- you couldn't even step outside without being covered by the damn things. And when you swat them, they squish. So I had dead bugs all over me by the end of the day. Oh and I inhaled too much Comet Cleanser while cleaning and almost passed out in the bathroom, tripped over the bleachy water mop bucket and dumped it all on the carpet. I couldn't open the window because I was naked. Don't ask. I didn't want to ruin the only set of clothes I had! The worst part was that I ended up getting bleach/comet ALL over my skin and couldn't take a shower because the only towel I had there was used to sop up the bleachy mop water...

We finally got back to Grand Rapids at almost 2am. Slept for a few hours then got up to make the 2nd part of the journey to Benzie County. Got the trailer unloaded here at about 7pm.

So yeah, the weekend about killed me.
