Back to the Grind.... Sort of

I got the dreaded call last week. My boss called and said he was going to be out of town this week and wanted to know if I could cover for him. I had to say yes. I was pretty bummed and disappointed, my vacation went too quickly. I haven't been having the greatest time of things lately. I will spare the details for my male friends that read this but I will say that is sucks big time being a girl sometimes. Especially when you have endometriosis and the hormonal imbalances that go along with it. And on top of it, me and Travis both got some kind of cold or something this week. So basically I have felt like shit for the past 2 weeks.
So I went to work Tues, Wed, and Thurs. There really wasn't that much to do, so I only worked a few hours each day. And next week I may be back to being laid off, or maybe just work a day or two. Things went well. Pretty smoothly, it really wasn't that bad. And people seemed genuinely glad that I was back, which is weird cause normally no one pays any attention to me there unless they need something.

Last Sunday we went to this thing here in Cleveland called 'Ingenuity Fest'. It was pretty cool. It's a festival of art and technology, so they had all these exhibits and performance artists, and bands. It was weird though, because businesses downtown donated their buildings for space for all the shows and stuff. So it was like you walk into a law office or something (everything that was usually in the buildings were removed) and there would be a dj spinning records and some kind of weird robot demonstration for example. Pretty sweet. Among some of things we saw: video exhibits in a back alley with huge video screens spread between the buildings, a fashion show, a few bands, Bizarre Bazaar- an indie craft fair, a bunch of art galleries, clothing designer booths, an orchestra, dancers, robots, holograms, drummers, interactive videogame demonstrations, etc.... It was pretty fun. It was a really hot day but it was nice because most of the things were inside in the air conditioning! Kyle they even had someone doing theremin demonstrations where people could go up on stage and play it!
We both got t-shirts at the indie craft fair and I got a weird stuffed robot looking thing. Travis bought a cd of a country band we saw. Not bad country, good country like Johnny Cash type stuff.

Ok- I'm tired... And that's about all that's been happening.

Edit:
Forgot to post this... OLD FRIENDS I scanned some photos from back in the day. I won't bother putting them up here, but you should take a look at my Flickr site to see them. Vin, there's pics of you and I will be putting some up of Joli soon too. Is anyone else we used to know back then on here? Help me find people, if you know of anyone, send me a link to their journal!
