Decisions

This week I am taking classes to get emergency certified as a guest teacher. I will be subbing in my county and three school districts in the neighboring county in secondary, elementary and special education classrooms. Hopefully. I still have to get all my background checks, fingerprinting, physical, TB test, classroom observation, etc.

So, since I am taking this step, I'm being proactive and looking into post-baccalaureate certification programs. It's time to suck it up and do it for real. Hopefully my parents will support my ass during that semester of student teaching. I think it could work... but I'm faced with a big decision...

Thanks to Girl Scouts and just the general information provided by these sessions provided by the local IU, I've been considering elementary education. I think that I would really enjoy it. The lecturers talk about how it's a lot of organization and structure, and I really feel like you make a bigger difference with that age group... What do you folks think? Lindsay as a high school English teacher or Lindsay teaching elementary kids: discuss.
