Otakon plans and other things
I hope everyones summer is going well so far!
I've seen a couple movies so far and rate them as such:
"Iron Man"- good , "Prince Caspian" - fair, "Indiana Jones" - shitty
Wedding planning has started underway. The date is official: November 7, 2009. So there ya go! Now maybe people can stop bothering me with "So when's the date?" Oh and to answer said people's other question- No, we don't have a reception place booked yet. We will by the end of summer. Get off our backs about it. *sigh* When I got engaged, I knew people would become annoying with asking about details and such but after experiencing it, I can see why people elope or do small destination weddings. I could never understand why people would want to do that but now I do: they can't handle the bullshit.
On a whim (or rather a week ago), Brad and I decided that we're gonna head to ColossalCon for Saturday only. Reason #1- I'm suffering from con withdrawl and reason #2- it's pretty darn close although not as close as it used to be. We haven't been to ColossalCon since 2005...yep. Anyways we've decided to bang out a couple of easy costumes for Saturday.
Which leads me to my OTAKON costume plans!!!
So these are what I have planned for Otakon:
Re-el Meyer from "Ergo Proxy". I don't get tired of her. I'll be wearing this with Brad's Ergo Proxy and if any of his friends decide to do any other characters.
Mika Asagi from "Gungrave". This one is a great big fat MAYBE. More of a no than yes. I was going to wear this to go with Brad's Beyond the Grave but I think the 3 costumes will be plenty. I might just pack her for the hell of it.
Hakufu Sonsaku (in the yellow) from "Ikkitousen" aka "Battle Vixens". This was created on a whim. I bought the anime out of morbid curiosity and ...well didn't hate it. It's a total fanservice anime but Hakufu cracks me up and reminds me of myself at times.
Cammy White from "Street Fighter". I don't have kick ass abs like Cammy...wah. I've been dying to do a Street Fighter cosplay since forever and while my first choice is always Chun Li, Cammy is much easier. I'll be wearing this with Brad's Blanka.
