The rest of the day was almost a blur as they took Sam to his appointment and then got ready for their trip to Oriens. Fred found herself almost trembling a few times, partly because of the possibility that they might be seeing Wesley again, partly because she about to willing go through a portal to another dimension.

The scars from Pylea were still with her, literally with the ones that criss-crossed her lower back and figuratively with the memories that still haunted her dreams on occasion. The idea of going somewhere else, somewhere different from her home, where there were obviously demons, was frightening, but she just had to remember that this place was different. Wesley was there, and he was apparently their Prince.

She just prayed that the book was telling them the truth, and that Wesley being the Scholar Prince wasn't anything like Cordelia being the Princess in Pylea.

By the time they were ready to go, Fred held Sam tightly in her arms as they walked out to the car. "We're going for a trip," she whispered to him softly. "And if all goes well, you're going to meet someone very special. Someone you haven't seen in a long time."

She kissed his forehead before they put him in his seat and then squeezed Angel's hand. Before she got into the car, she leaned up and kissed him softly on lips, giving him a loving smile. Not too long later, it seemed, they were sitting at Point Dume. Taking the book, Fred turned to the page and began chanting softly, hoping she was saying the words right.

As she said them, she could feel the hairs on the back of her neck prickle as the energy in the air got stronger. Green fingers appeared in front of them, seeming to grab the dark sky and pull it apart as though it were forcing a set of double doors open.

"Angel, now," she said as she finished the spell.

Moments later, the car seemed to drop a couple of feet...right onto a platform. Next to a castle. In broad daylight.

"Angel!" Fred cried out in concern.

Angel sat in the car, his finger tightly around the steering wheel, as Fred said the spell. When the portal opened, he took an unneeded breath and pushed hard on the gas when Fred told him to go. They flew through the portal and suddenly dropped, the tires rubbing against some sort of surface. Angel pumped the brakes and they finally came to a stop.

It wasn't until Fred said something that Angel noticed the sun. He started to grabbed around for something to cover himself up with but couldn't find anything. He looked up and saw the two suns. "Oh. There's two suns!" he happily said. He bounced out of the car and looked up to allow the sun to warm his skin.

He was about to say something to Fred when he felt something jab his back. Angel turned and came face-t0-face with several people wearing bright colored clothes, and holding some sort of weapon.

"Who are you and why have you tried to defile the castle?" One of them asked.

"Um, we're here because we're looking for a friend. His name is Wesley. He's about this tall and--."

One of them pushed forward and stared at Angel for a moment. "Vampire," he said before he turned and looked at Fred and Sam. "It's them!"

"Them?" Someone else asked.

"The three others. The one the prophecy spoke of. They aren't dead," he said as he turned and looked at his cohorts. "Prince Wesley must be told that they are alive."

"So, you're going to take us to see Wes then?" Angel asked as he gave Fred a hopeful look.

"Yes," the man said. "Come along. You can wait downstairs for him." He then turned and started toward the castle.

"Ready?" Angel asked as he watched Fred get Sam out of his seat.

Fred gave him a nervous look. "I can't believe...if Wesley's...yes, I'm ready," she said as she reached out and took Angel's hand. They were going to go in together.

Angel squeezed her hand and both of them walked into the castle, and waited to see if Wes was really alive.
