Thank you. My favorite sci-fi stories are the ones with a little mystery, so you can expect a bit of sleuthing to be done here ;)

This is so good!!!!

Your acronyms had me howling with laughter! N.I.C.K and B.R.O.K, wheeee! The way they're worried about their own malfunctioning is very touching. Kevin actually seems less "human" than these supposed "drones". His patchy memories for example, and his fear of physical contact. The whole situation is so intriguing! Are Space Cowboys humans, how many biological entities are there actually onboard and who are they! And I wonder what the "anomaly" Kevin doesn't want to remember really was!

And I love the moving hair, so strange and fascinating!

Thank you! The Acronyms were a pain to think (Especially AJ. How could I add a 'J' to a navigation computer?)I can't tell you much about the rest, because I don't want to spoil you anything, but I can tell you that the malfunctions and the anomaly are very important to the plot.
I'm glad you're enjoying the hair, though. It is my favorite part to describe :D

I've just re-read it and I'm seriously beginning to think that Kevin's a cybernetic unit too! He's just been programmed to think that he's human for morale reasons. I mean, if the Alliance is so hard-up for personel that they have to man the ship with mostly cybernetics then why not make it all-cybernetic? Much more economical. Or wait! What if Kevin was originally a human and they used him as the template for all the cargo ship captains? That makes even more sense - a ready-made cadre of serious, duty-bound, artificial Kevins to captain the Alliance's ships. Perhaps all of the units are originally humans and all Alliance cargo ships have the same crew?

Heeee, I think it's possible that I've read too much science fiction in my life :-)

PS If Spazz is Sparks brother by blood and Scoop is his brother by marriage, does that mean that Spazz and Scoop are married? Please say it isn't so, Bassez is boring ;-)

Sorry, can't answer that since, well, spoilers and Milosflaca will kick my ass. But I can tell you that yeah, you've read a lot of sci-fi in your life ;)

And no, there's no Bassez here. Spazz and Spark have five other siblings, four brothers and a sister. They're just very affective with each other.

*blush* thank you. This is a very visual bunny, not only because of the video (The 'Go ahead, dance while I protect the ship' video, according to my friend milosflaca, but also because it inspired me to do some art. If you want to see the Space Cowboys, you can see the whole group here and Crazy without a shirt here although I'm working on the others, and the ESS Millenium's crew too.

Thank you! I'm working on it, as the bunny has a share-time line in my head with Story of Us and Timberlake Effect, but it's coming, I swear.
