(no subject)
i am procrastinating finishing up this paper on william carlos williams by looking at shoes online.
i want multiple pairs of gladiator sandals for spring i cannot even begin to tell you ... there's a pair of easy spirit by tara subkoff that would be good although they're a little on the clunky side ... and then there's a really cheap gold pair from urban outfitters that i actually like. i had the hardest time finding a great pair last year (although i managed to find a pair that i love anyway) that i'm still on the lookout ... but seeing as how grecian is in for spring, it should be a lot easier.
all i imagine myself wearing are gladiator sandals and light-weight blouson sun dresses with aviators. absolutely perfect for a hot summer in the city and abroad. idealistically, i'd be making myself a slew of those dresses, and a slew of circle skirts, but there will only be six weeks left in the semester when i get back from california.
i just gave michael a pair of black havaianas for our spring break trip, but then i checked the weather, and it turns out that there's rain the week we're there! there's just no winning ...
...we had a whirlwind weekend in new york that was all about his family ... stayed with his mother, hung out with his aunt and cousin ... went shopping for fabric (black cotton sateen for the jacket muslin) and trims ... ate too much ... the usual. drank a lot last night and tony met up with us at art bar, an old favorite haunt of michael's. this was good because they were checking id's, i "didn't have mine on me" and they let us in anyway! i hadn't seen tony since the summer so it was a treat, but michael ended up getting a little offended by a comment tony made and it kind of ruined the rest of his night.
i did absolutely no work this weekend and luckily i have tomorrow morning off to catch up. it's all english homework from now through tomorrow evening so that tuesday is solely devoted to my cfda, which is due wednesday.
ughhhh.
