I woke up at the crack of dawn to run to the only closest Starbucks on Chambers street (we're on Greenwich between Debrosses/Vestry in TriBeCa) to purchase Anna Wintour a Venti Cappuccino--and I had to be at work by 8:15 AM with the drink. Keep in mind that I live on the Upper East Side ... so I took the six train to fifty-first, transferred to the E, took that down to Canal, got out of the station, walked across the street to transfer to the one train, and took that down to Chambers, which, thankfully, the Starbucks is right on the corner.
I got to work at 8:08, beating Thakoon, whom I think was worried that I would be late and/or forget the cappuccino!
Anyway, she's here for a site visit for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award (Jeffrey Kalinsky came yesterday--wearing all Thom Browne with white socks and penny loafers, how adorable!) .... cross your fingers ladies and gentlemen! We'll know if we've won in November. In the meantime, you can see an article on us in the November issue of Vogue. We have one of the best layouts out of all the finalists (besides Subversive), so we're hoping that means something!
