i watched 3 good movies yesterday
we went to see spiderman 2 & i loved it! although i hate tobey maguire & his big googly eyes & kirsten dunst & her cheerleader smile, i loved their love story! james franco in anything is excellent - in spiderman 3, he will become the hobgoblin & wear spandex!! yay!! ben had to get out his spidey comics when we got home to look at doc oc & the hobgoblin. i only hated 1 part of the movie & that was that chinese woman who plays the violin & sings a horrible rendition of the spiderman song. really awful.
then we watched the dvd of party monster & i LOVED it!! it brought me back to the days when i wanted to run off to nyc & hang out at the limelight with andy warhol & james st. james. i have always found michael alig to be over the top & mac culkin was awesome as michael. chloe sevigny was in it too & i like her. she was so good in demonlover, one of the best movies ever. anyway, i was looking around on google for stuff about michael alig & i found this quiz...

can't believe they didn't add "shot your ex-lover-dealer up with draino" to the list! i remember all that - it was so scandalous & i don't think the nyc club scene has been the same since. i guess i'm glad i never had any friends who used heroin or did special k & that i didn't run away to nyc after i graduated from high school! yikes!
the last movie i watched last night was panther. i love that movie - i have seen it about 10 times. i have always been fascinated with the black panthers. they looked so cool in their black leather & with their shotguns. marcus chong is fabulous as huey newton. i don't know why he hasn't made more movies - he's gorgeous, a great actor & from a showbiz family. maybe he got arrested with his dad. who knows?
