Eureka! A new sparrabeth fic from Kat, and a wonderful one.

Always happy to oblige a fellow devoted Sparrabether (both you and GeekMama--hope we're not a dying breed!), and especially grateful for the "wonderful" comment! :-)

When Jack starts to school her about how to hand Tai Huang, I was all in--totally seeing him, hearing him.

Wow! Thank you! I do love when Jack suddenly shifts from teasing!Jack to serious!Jack in a heartbeat. That's when all masks totally drop away, and we see the REAL Jack, the man of substance and intellect beneath all the artifice and jackanapery. (Just like that deleted rumrunner's island scene from COBP, where he shows Elizabeth his scars, which is the tone I was going for here.) I'm truly chuffed that you found that bit so effective in conjuring up that aspect of Jack, and made a point of mentioning it.

Now, can we get on to later, when sleep is not the imperative???

LOL! You know, actually, that was my primary motivation for writing PotC fic: finding a way of getting Jack and Elizabeth them in the sack! (And, if you've read my J/E fics, I do tend to make that happen, quite frequently!) ;-D
