I'm so glad you think so. Weatherby was one of my favourite characters. Had a bit of a stick up his elegant butt at times, but his heart was truly in the right place when it came to his daughter, and doing what he thought was best for her. I really mourned his passing in AWE. He didn't deserve what Beckett (and Mercer) did to him, and I'd like to think he at least wound up in a place of happiness and love at the end of that otherwordly boat ride.

The look on Jack's face when he said to her "Elisabeth..." blew my mind and he called her by her name rather than some variation of his own. He understood without a doubt what was happening and what it would mean to her. It's also one of the ways I knew she loved Will deeply. When something so dreadful happens you turn to that one where you are safest.
