I'd guess they'd be somewhat along the same lines, but perhaps a bit less "adventurous" on Elizabeth's part than Jack would prefer. No doubt, given Jack's broad experience in certain areas, Jack's demand would have been considerably more imaginative than Lizzie's...
"I do believe...I win!"--This is a fine example of the pauses meaning just as much as the words in a sentence. It's that little "..." that makes me hear Jack's voice and that self-satisfaction that would be present.
Ah, yes... Jack is the master of the pregnant pause, isn't he, and deploys it to great effect.
"And now I rightfully claim the agreed-upon forfeit..."--Hee hee. You have Jack's voice down.
Thank you! I'm so glad you think so! :-)
Watch your timing, Elizabeth, because it sounded dangerously close to accusing Jack of somehow being a cheat at sex
Well, he cheats at swordplay ... he cheats at cards. It had to have crossed Lizzie's mind that his cheating might extend to other areas as well.
which is where I'm sure he always brings his A-game and is a champion deserving of being on a Wheaties box.
LOL! I daresay you're right in that! If hanky-panky were an Olympic sport, my money would be on Jack for the gold medal! ;-)
"Inscrutable grin segued into a hot, sweet kiss."--It just makes me grin!
Again, thank you! So glad to have had that effect on you! (To paraphrase Jack: "Grins all around!") ;-)
As ever, I appreciate so much your taking the time to read, and Comment! :-)
