photos keep you busy
so, phill and i have been keeping really busy and focused on the new business. we still don't have a gallery up or business cards printed (well, we have some, but we don't like them, and they have the old website name printed on them), but our photo blog is up and running, and we practice learning something new on an almost-daily basis.
tonight, phill assisted for the wonderful mr. zelman on a magazine shoot, while i am assisting/second-shooting for the lovely susie tomorrow at a wedding in temecula. it is very exciting and a somewhat low-pressure way to practice getting great shots as well as learning the standard work flow for shooting weddings.
speaking of, we are now pretty much done with kate's wedding, and we're moving on to editing our first paying gig, that of baby lila. after this weekend, we should be set to focus on katy and coner's wedding and then build the gallery and start booking our own jobs. i'm hoping that my working relationship with susie really blossoms after tomorrow, too, because it would be great to work with someone so kind and open and to learn more about this lifestyle i call my future job.
