life is good
Last weekend was wonderful, except for a few small snags. Friday I worked both jobs, pretty uneventful. Saturday I worked at the stand and my Grandparents along with two of my younger cousins came up for a visit. After church saturday night, Ryan and I met up with my cousins claudia and justine to go to the Greek Festival at the Church. First though, we met a few friends of Claudia's...linemen from the BC football team! They were probably the biggest, nicest guys I've ever met. It was so funny to see Ryan next to them, he looked so skinny and small! We also met up with Beth a friend of Justine's who plays bball with her at Bowdoin. At the festival, we ate SO much yummy food and taught the boys,Beth and Ryan how to dance! It was SO much fun!!! Sunday I worked and then had plans to come home for game night and DQ with my little cousins Jill and Colleen, Thomas, Mom, Dad and Ryan. I got a migraine however, and so plans were cancelled as I slept and unsuccessfully tried my hardest to overcome nausea.
Monday we came back to Sanford and I got a plant to help nelson's tank a little more happy. OH AND...went to the pet store by marshalls and specifically told me I was looking for floating pellets for my Beta fish, she pointed out a specific kind of food, I grabbed it, bought it and when I got home opened it to find FLAKES!! NELSON HATES FLAKES!!!!!! I even put some pellets in with the flakes to see if he'd eat the flakes, nope...he ate right around them and went for the pellets! GRRRRR
Ryan had tuesday off so we were going to go spend some time at the beach. However, it was not a very good day for it so we just went to York and Ogunquit and walked around for a while. We had lunch at the blue star grill and then headed back home to visit his mom and work and grab my sneakers before heading to Portland for his Ultimate game.....in the rain! That's the second game I've gone to that I've had to sit through the rain....but they won! I think they're now 11 and 2 which puts them in first in their division :)I love watching their games, they're really exciting!
Dad's fixing the roof on the porch and part of the house in OOB...we had a huge fight with ants last week...mom poked her finger through the wall and a few came marching out...so she thought it would be a good idea to see where they were coming from and ripped away part of the wall with a hammer....a whole hord of ants came pouring out of the wall....thomas and mom stood there for a good 15 minutes killing ants as they came out onto the floor...it was SO gross!
It's raining today..i wish it were sunny on my days off, then Icould go to the beach or hang out outside or something.....today though, instead I'll read the Da Vinci Code...REALLY good book! I'm almost done and I started friday I think!
