Ahh...
The family vacation to Bar Harbor was so great! We had a wonderful time! It felt so good to play tourist during a time of the year when we're normally faking the "we love to have you tourists in our town" thing. I bought an apple pie for Ryan from the pie lady on the side of the road. It may sound sketchy but its really not. The lady is older and so cute, she bakes pies all day long and sells them from inside her living room area in her house. What a concept..and they are quite the yummy pies too!
Work at Tim's office (the lawyer) is going really well. I'm really enjoying it a lot, I love the people I'm with and really like just hanging out, answering phones and filing stuff. That's basically all I do right now, but he said that he'll soon be teaching me more, which is good. My first full day is thursday and I'm really looking foward to that.
Work at the stand is a different story, I don't mind it, except that today was our only semi-busy day. I worked on friday night and we closed at 6:30 it was so dead, the rain was pouring down like crazy and we figured it was nuts to try and stay open any later. Yesterday was icky too. Hopefully the weather will be nice for the fourth of july weekend and we'll be really busy.
I'm reading a book right now called Bringing Down the House, its relaly good. Its about six MIT students who counted cards and made tons of money in Las Vegas...very interesting....I'm not a big blackjack player so I dont really understand some of the language thats used to describe the whole process of counting the cards and all, but I'm still really enjoying it. I have a few more books I want to get through this summer, maybe I'll even be an overachiever and try and figure out what books will be read in my english classes this semester so that I can get a head start on those. LOL what a geek huh?
Tonight, Ryan and I walked to Kristen and Joel's house which was nice actually. I enjoy walking. I helped Kristen organize Hannah's baby clothes, we got far but still have a little left to do. After all her clothes are organized then Kristen can focus more on setting up the room the way she wants to which will be nice too.
I'm quite tired tho and have a few errands to do tomorrow. I also need to clean out Nelson's tank....I'm just soooo tempted to buy a self cleaning one....but then again, I don't relaly know how long he's gonna live for. Knowing me, I'll buy the tank and he'll die after two weeks in it.....
