Atlanta Fest Day 1
-Left the house about 10:00 to pick up Holden.
-Ran past the bank to get cash for spending money.
-Drove to Atlanta.
-Stopped and had Wendy's for lunch.
-Drove into Stone Mountain. Bought a yearly parking pass so we can come back.
-Picked up Atlanta Fest Arm bands.
-Got to Stone Mountain and went looking for our first geocache. Took ahwile and we were about to give up when I found it. Had a few small trades nothing big. One of the grounds keepers kept stopping in to check on us. Wonder if he placed it.
-Went looking for another cache. We know where it is but we left it alone due to picnicing people. Hoopefully we can grab it today.
-Sky HIke time. Brandon ran around the kiddie leve. Hubby and Holden did level 3. Um, no not me. William Holden and I then did level 1. I was so proud of William for doing it, especially since he doesn't like heights. I got stuck behind 3 scaredy cats who were trying to get off. Thankfully I knew how to do a monkey brigde so I felt comfortable enough chilling on the hanging ropes part waiting on them to get turned around and out of the way. We all awarded ourselves with drinks.
-Off to play miniature golf. I won.
-Ate at Katie's. I love thier rolls and fried pickles. Had the ribs. Didn't really eat them all. Way too much fat.
-Went to the ball area so the kids could run around a bit and be kids. Brandon had be climb up the net stairway and do the slide twice.
-Began the process of tackeling our first multi-cache. Got all the way to the last level and got sumped. We will try and finish this one today. It was a lot of hard work but allowed us plenty of time to chill and hang out in the yard area before the laser show.
-Chilled and had snacks on the lawn.
-Got bored and went to look for another quick grab cache in the main paking lot. While there we chilled and listened a bit to Building 429 who was playing up the way. We didn't go to the concert last night because we'd heard them before and wanted to focus on the laser show activities.
-Took the GPS and tried to finish out the earlier cache. Did send and e-mail to the owner and found out we are on the right trail.
-Watched laser show. Lots of new stuff this year mixed with some old.
-Found our way to the hotel. Everyone got a bath and we chilled for a bit before calling it a night.
