Packaged in the mail
I often feel as though i get "run over" a lot by people close to me. Maybe it's because in the past i have continued to go out of my way to do nice things for people time and time again and they just dont appreciate the effort or what... but, thank you... finally.
I think that if i was away at college it would be fun to receive mail from friends back home, hence, my reason for trying to stay up on writing letters and sending small nothings full of smiles of the heart. On occation i will hear back. That in itself i find to be a treat! I loved it so much when my friend Ashley called me one night out of the blue to say hi and appologize for not getting back to my letter sooner. I understand that you cant. but boy does it feel good to know they care back.
Today i got home from a long day at school and found this soft wrapped package to: ME! I was sooo excited! Especially to see that it was from a special friend states away! I opened this package that had evidently been send by the mail and found this awesome sweatshirt from where they are, and i was just in awe at the thoughtfulness and effort the person took to repay a nice gesture of mine.
I don't know if i too overly impressed by the kind actions of others or not, but over the years i have grown to expect nothing from too many people, and when i do expect something, i remind myself that i shouldn't. SO when wonderfully thoughtful people come into my life, i am astounded, and grateful for their company. So incase i never said thank you... THANK YOU!!!! and THANK YOU FOR MY SWEATSHIRT LAMB DA!!! XOXO
