On Friday my department had its annual summer picnic. Working for a government entity, this is not a lavish affair, but most everyone comes out, and it's a good time. One of the things that we do is hand out an employee recognition award. This around there were four recipients, all of whom I think embody the spirit of the award. I'm a believer in

I can totally see that for you at work. I haven't worked with you of course - but you're very organized, diplomatic, detail-oriented and professional. Of course that inspires people! I'm glad someone gave you the credit.

Well, I'm still working a lot on the "diplomatic" piece of it! I say what I think far too often for some folks' comfort. And I'm not always as nice about it as I should be (I do try, tho--sometimes it just comes out!).

Anyway, it was pretty cool. :-)
