Week's wrap-up, busy weekend ahead
Clueless woman returned my call yesterday thanking me, I kid you not, for cluing her in (her words). They have an accounting person with the same name, and she just wasn't paying attention because of a grant deadline. She has gotten everything straightened out now. Very funny.
Ruby is showing up with little red wound spots on her head, and Moose has been very aggressive the past two days. Putting this all together...at a minimum I need to find the claw trimmer, and read up on aggression between cats in the same house. Already I have learned that cats do not have the same kind of dominance hierarchy as dogs, and that they cannot be allowed to "just work things out." Aggression will just continue and intensify if it is allowed. I am afraid there are going to be some unhappy, locked up kitties for awhile, since I haven't figured out yet how to distract Moose when she is focused the way I can with the kittens. Air itself is a kitten distractor.
I am definitely booking a week in Denver Sept 16-24. I will also, I think, take two days on the far side of that to just be at home and relax, if the boss says it is okay.
We are having house guests next weekend, a friend we have not seen in a couple of years and his new girlfriend. I was going to try to finish painting the kitchen, but I realized a couple of days ago that the much more urgent issue is the lack of drapes in the guest room! I have my job for the weekend. I am not sure how I am going to keep the kittens from "helping" while I cut and sew.
