Fruits Basket Episode 25

Aug 07, 2010 19:01

Well, this episode had a tad bit more of a serious note than the past ones... I mean, we get to see a ton of POV about the whole cat issue.

First of all is Akito and a bit of Tohru. I mean, she's mostly in shock of what she just saw.... And yes, Akito had always been repulsed by Kyo's true form. So, it really is no surprise that he tries to use this in order to goad Tohru into leaving the Souma family alone. He really knows how to use his opportunities... Especially now that Tohru is in shock :P

Next comes Shigure, Yuki and Kagura's POV. I mean, we all know that Shigure in a way somehow hoped that Tohru would understand the whole thing and not run off... Dogs do tend to get a bit worn out when their masters suddenly disappear... As for Yuki and Kagura, well she has admitted that the only way to get Kyo back is through Tohru, so you could say that, in a way, she has admitted defeat to her :P Yuki meanwhile, I think he's going after Kyo to go after Tohru... So, there's not much of a surprise there :P

Of course, probably the one that has gotten the most to me is the POV of the master. Yes, it did start off as a form of redemption for Kazuza.... But it ended up that, for him, to develop some fatherly feelings for Kyo.. Not that Kyo's big mouth doesn't get him into trouble enough, it's just that I don't think he realized just how deeply he hurt his master with the frase.... So, yes, it suddenly somehow became understandable that thing that he did last episode... and yes, it does seem like a failed experiment.

Either way, I kind of like Hana's reaction to the whole mess. I mean, she detected that Tohru didn't need to be comforted in this because she couldn't be. This was something out of her friends' hands. ANd yes, she does tell Tohru to pick her ass up and hurry after Kyo. I think this is where Hana actually lets go of Tohru... Huh, I wonder if this means that she matured somehow ;D
