RIP Valerie
10 years ago when I first discovered fandom, I got on on Livejournal because of Valerie_z. I've loved following her life posts, having the occasional interactions, and of course reading her wonderfully written, smart, at times hilarious, stories. Even though she has not regularly appeared on my friends list in a while, I would often think about how she is doing, or I would quote some of her fanfics when talking Buffy with my mom. Just last week I was thinking of dropping her a message but I never got around to it. Now I really wish I had.
To her family, I am very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain you are in right now. It is so unfair that she is gone from this world, so young, with all she had to offer. I can only hope her memory will live on in all of us.
