blurred vision...

So today, I almost had a car accident on the 401 freeway coming home from practice.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't my fault, but then, I can't be sure since I currently have a white haze accross my field of vision and everything is a wee bit blurry. Yes, I was wearing my glasses. No, it didn't really help.
It seems human eyes were not meant to be exposed to chlorinated water for hours at a time on a daily basis.
Ahh, hell week. The things you do to my body.

Okay, to clarify, "hell week" is the peak of our training cycle, which means every possible way of making it harder to swim is employed. Examples include wearing clothes and weight belts in the pool, adding extra after-practice running sessions, new strength/weights programs, etc.

That said, it has been difficult to get out of bed due to sore muscles the past five days. Wednesday I was so tired I didn't bother with lunch, deciding rather that it was too much work to continually lift my hand to my mouth, never mind chew. That's how it feels.

Perhaps I'm being dramatic. Which is possible, given my personality, and the fact that, it being two weeks before Nationals, I'm doing the "healthy and focused" thing. Which means I have also given up junk food, alcohol, staying up late, and other fun activities that go along with such things.

I hope you all realize that by the time I come to visit winnipeg in three weeks, I'm going to have some serious deprivation issues.

Anyhoo, it's becoming hard to read my typing due to hazy watery vision, so I shall go sit in the hottub and pretend I don't have to get up in the morning and do it all again.
