finally!!! ...and yet...
So I am now officially on my four day break from swimming. Hallelujah! Not that I don't love what I do, but three weeks "on the road" with the same thirteen girls can make you want to run screaming for the nearest exit, and perhaps kill a few people on your way out. So for the next three and a bit days, i'm not going to think about, talk to anyone invloved in, or do anything that even resembles the idea of swimming, unless perhaps it be in the hottub. I'm going to sleep late, watch a lot of movies, go drinking, and spend some "quality time" with the current boy-toy. Also, sleep. A lot of sleep.
At least, I will if I can tear myself away from the internet.
Spending time on livejournal and reading about how everyone is and what they're up to has made me realize what i've gotten myself into. When the team comes home from whatever the latest trip is, they're thinking about how good it will be to sleep in their own beds, see their friends, get spoiled by their parents... in short, they're coming HOME. And I'm... well, I'm not. For me, home is the city that thinks it's a little town, where you bump into someone you know everywhere you go, and all your friends live less than an hour away. Home is the friends who know all the inside jokes 'cause they lived through all your crap with you, could blackmail you silly with it, and still luv you anyway. Home is the family that drives me crazy but loves me unconditionally and tells me every week that they're proud of me.
I miss Home.
So I'm glad for the break and will thoroughly enjoy it. Finally, some time for just plain fun! And yet....
