Live from Ohio
Today was the first day of this crazy American swim meet in Ohio that my team is at. My one pre-swim event is over, and I am BORED. Luckily the hotel has this highly convenient business center with free net access, so perhaps I shall be updating my journal a little more often this week. :D
Other, more tragic free-time options include being sucked back into the world of daytime television, reading trashy romance novels, and pouting over the fact that in no way would it have been possible for me to attend a friends surprise birthday/napoleon dynamite themed party, which was apparently highly fun.
....okay, pouting is not an effective time waster. In fact, it seems to have to opposite effect, making time go even slower. So perhaps I'll just ignore the fact that the high school we're competing at has it's own pool, gym, football stadium, baseball field, track...football hall of fame...separate locker room buildings to go with each...
but since i'm here, in the land of big macs and bigger Walmarts, I might as well enjoy making fun of all the crazy accents of it's inhabitants, right?
Oop, gotta get back to the pool to watch the rest of the proceedin's. Which should be funny, considering one of the californian clubs has a guy (who's actually really good), on their team, and the other teams aren't happy about it... ahh, the drama!
