죽을래

So I had my first test in Korean class. I am fairly confident that I passed the audio/written stuff. Yay~ The oral exam was...okay. I messed up one a few things which ticked me off.

And I know exactly why I messed up. I wasn't taking the time to read it over in my head and/or just glancing at the ending.
IE:

안녕하세요 = annyǒnghaseyo (hello!)
안녕히 가세요 = annyǒnghi kaseyo(goodbye [to one leaving])

In the above I screwed up the most basic Korean phrase I already knew because I didn't look at the end. I saw 안녕 and ㅎ, and didn't bother reading the rest. It's no good memorizing them when you don't read the whole thing.

In the case of completely screwing up 식당 Well, I really don't know. That one ticked me off bad because when we had a practice session, it was one I screwed up on before. It wasn't like my pronunciation was bad it was that I said something completely different. For some reason I couldn't read it as "식" I was reading "삭" or possibly "산" and it just went down from there. Now, I understand it's easy to reverse nieun (ㄴ) and kiok (ㄱ), but...I don't know where the hell ㅏ came from. Maybe I saw it at the second half when glancing and carried it back over. I just know it annoyed me.

식당 = Shik-Dang (Restaurant)

Other than that and leaving one of the 'not-mine' travel-mugs behind, the day went well.
Oh, and I went and preordered Mirotic last night. :D

college class?!
