Look what I can type: V V V vvvvvv vvvv vv. Yay.

So my new little macbook showed up while I was in the shower. I heard the dog bark and then a truck drive away. They left it in the office though, so that's why I have my computer tonight.

I'm not sure I really miss the size of the old 'book for doing everyday things. I haven't tried to run CS2 or actually watch a movie or anything on here yet (I did figure out how to tweak the movie thingy to play stuff that's not from itunes. It has a remote!!) but that's what they make video adapters and bigget monitors for.

Now comes the ever so fun task of trying to restore a bunch of old shit. Last time my hard drive died I knew it was coming, and so I backed up a lot (a lot was already backed up from when the logic board died). This time, I pretty much just have the back-ups from last year. I'm going to buy a casing for the hard drive from my old computer and hope to be able to get stuff back. I don't think I killed that part.

There's some good improvements on this thing, besides speed. The power plug is magnetic so it comes right out if someone trips over it (Bailey already tested this for me). I have seen a powerbook go crashing to the floor and get a ton of damage to the case from that kind of accident. There's some new button thingies in the keyboard. The infrared for the remote is kickass, and I imagine there will be more software that can use that kind of thing in the future. Oh, and the battery is supposed to last a lot longer than my old one. They got rid of the apple on the apple key (lame). And they got rid of the damn pulsating sleep light which was always cute but fucking annoying if you were also trying to sleep.

I'm not so sure about the leopard interface. I'm a huge fan of simple when it comes to software. Things that are flashy get in my way. I figured out how to make most of it smaller.

Anyway, I should be taking my ass to bed. I'm hoping to work the rest of the week and get a full paycheck, but who knows. It's getting awfully quiet around there. My benadryl is kicking in so it's time for bed (been getting sinus headaches lately. No fun).
