Title: Testament of Truth

When Draco smiles at her at the Malfoy charity ball, all Hermione can think is that it would be nice, if it were real. She wants to believe it is, but she can’t trust her instincts with him. She knows better. Hermione ignores the look in his eyes and goes with what she thinks she knows. But there is something that she can’t define.

Something that frightens and excites her.

When Hermione makes a joke, Draco can’t help but smile, even if it’s a little forced. Somehow, around her, everything seems more real. Even in Malfoy manor - the most contrived place in England - she is more like a real person instead of a famous war hero and champion of lost causes. Draco thinks that she makes little jokes for his benefit. He always catches her looking at him to read his reaction, and so he smiles to appease her.

But she never seems sated.

Title: Seven Minutes in Heaven
Prompt: First Kiss

"This is ridiculous!" Hermione jiggled the cupboard doorknob again before pulling out her wand and trying Alohamora. When the door remained stubbornly closed, she pounded on it with her fists. "Let us out!"

From the party outside, her friends' catcalls and whistles made her blood boil.

"You may as well calm down," Draco drawled from the darkness behind her. "They couldn't let us out if they wanted to. This is 'Seven Minutes in Heaven,' after all. We're in here for seven minutes."

"Fine." Hermione turned and tried to squeeze over to one side, but avoiding Draco completely was impossible in the small space. "Whatever. That's seven minutes I can spend planning my revenge. Just be quiet and don't distract me."

She could hear him exhale slowly. "I don't know how Muggles play this game, but this is a Wizard kissing game. The seven minutes won't start until we kiss."

"What?!"She could hear Parkinson's sing-song taunt through the door: "Granger just learned the rules!"

Prompt - Draco tells his parents he's dating Hermione.

Marlene and Niles Boyle were a dull couple with a dull home who threw dull parties, but Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy were in attendance because dull people could have excellent connections, and after the war ended, the Malfoys needed every connection they could make. Lucius visited the bar every twenty minutes, and Narcissa kept a mental scorecard of dresses. Two hours in and she was already forty points ahead on presentation, fit, and color, though she hadn't had to put up much of a fight compared to Marlene Boyle's lemon meringue froth and very unfortunate hat.

"Narcissa, I could be wrong, though I doubt it, but tell me. That young man over there. That is our son, is it not?" Lucius nodded across the ballroom towards a column and a tall potted fern. Behind it stood a thin blond man in black robes, looking both shifty and bored

I was chortling in glee when I read the final two paragraphs. Sneaky!Draco was beautifully presented. :D
