Work has been picking up lately. In addition to my yoga classes, i've been massaging and i got a massage these last few days. Also i've had more interests in people asking for my cards. My rent for June is in the bank and ready to be paid. I have to order new business cards. My business has definately perked due to my yoga classes. I'm getting more of my students coming in on the table or private yoga sessions. It hasn't been crazy business...but just enough to cover costs and leave me a little extra for business cards and towards next month's rent.
There is a promotion coming up, in conjunction with one of my student/clients. She has Crohns. In July she is walking in a fundraiser located in California. This woman has supported my business. Promoted my eye pillows which led to me selling out of them. She is holding a home run derby to raise money in addition to doing a raffle, and an auction. But to help promote my business, instead of it getting lost in the crowd of donations...I will over a special thank you from her offering $30 off for those who have signed up before June 8, and $20 off for those who signed up after. As i explained it to her, because i charge a higher price in my practice, i wouldn't be losing that much. With the money off, it is still clients/money i would have never had before. On top of that, because i do practice 20 minutes away from where she is gathering donations, and because some of them are kids....I will have fewer coupons redeemed than given out. I lose nothing except for the expense and time of making the coupons. If just one person shows up, then that small bit of marketing is paid for.
Another upside to this pairing and A, my trainer, asking for cards is that my website will be up and running very soon. I will be able to list my web addy and people are more than likely to check out my site than to just cold call. So the possiblity of redeemed coupons go up just slightly more. It gets my name out there so i can start branding DTW.
I'm only massaging three days a week. I'm okay with that. My yoga schedule is full with 10 to 13 classes a week (depending on privates and preschool classes). I hope to do a yoga class in the park (still working on that). Of course, all this can change if gas keeps getting too high i will have to give up some classes since filling up is about $80 a week and find something closer to home.
