(no subject)
So, my lesson today, was the best. I have been really struggling with accepting the size of my voice, and want to pretend its smaller than it really is. Today, I just sang, and let it all out. Wendy was so moved by my progress that she started crying. She said I took her breath away, and she knows what I am going through, and this is a milestone. She finally gave me a REAL aria...not verdi prati or other handel crap. I am singing hear ye israel from elijah. I am having a recitall in the spring and I am super excited about it! I hope you all can come. Its going to be with two of my friends. We are each going to sing our solo programs, then sing some trios. Most likely the maid trio from the Mikado, the spirits from Magic Flute, etc. I think it will be great. I am super excited. Otherwise, not much new in the life of me. Lots of practicing. Ooo we are doing beethoven's 9th with st. paul chamber orchestra at the basilica. I am uber excited. Its all sold out. Crazy!!
