I just found out about 1 hour ago, that a guy I went to high school died in a car accident just down the street from the high school. I have so many mixed feelings righ now. I feel so sad and I want to cry but I'm at work right now so I have to stay professional and finish my work. He was such a nice guy, and he will be missed. He was one of those ( Read more... )

I know how you feel. Years and years ago, I learned that a shy girl who had a secret crush on me for a long while had died. I didn't know until told by her friends. Also, a few years back, one of my college friends was kidnaped, tortured, raped and murdered in her own car. It sounds like your friend didn't suffer much. If I were to die, I'd want it to be quick also. Maybe he went to a far kinder afterlife than we shall ever know.

I'm very, very sorry to hear about your pain. I firmly believe that death isn't a thing or a place. It's a transition. A doorway, not a destination. Even if it isn't, death is nothing to fear since it's a trip we're all taking sooner or later.

I agree with you. I beleive that whatever pain he might have felt right before he died, he's not feeling it now. and I truly beleive that death is a transition. now he will be able to start on a new life. There is a reason for everything and i beleive that there is a reason he died so young.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I can't think of any amazing words of wisdom that will really help. However, it's Reel Deal night, so if you want to get out of the house to keep your mind off things and laugh a bit, give me a call. We may be out and about, so you might want to try my cell. I'll e-mail you the numbers, just in case you don't have them.

There have been several deaths from my graduating class, too. Some I've known fairly well and some I haven't. Even so, every time it happens, it freaks me out a bit. Like you, it's hard to think that it's possible for life to end at such a young age. However, like Philip (wildezword, I'd like to believe that there's something more on the other side.

Anyway, take care. Call if you can come out tonight. Actually, Philip and Litsa have been going lately, so they may be there, too.

Big hugs for you...
