The three human folks set out to Luv-a-Bull sans camera, so there will be no adorable pics of the bully crew this week. But do not fret! There will be many more opportunities to see the cuties!

The morning started out dreary but beautiful, with rain lightly sprinkling as we entered the shelter. Uma was out in the back hall, her head poking up adorably through the window, framed by her two paws (see last weeks pictures for an image of this). After cuddling Ricky, Rocket, Gideon and Ava in the next room, we got Ava, Rocket, and Ricky ready in their little jackets and took the three out for a brief walk in the rain. The pups were lively, Ricky bounding ahead, but always coming back when his name was called. Such a cute sight, the little guy running in his Santa jacket, bounding over logs and shrubs!

Rocket was amazingly well-behaved, as she always is. When Deb ran ahead to call Ricky to her, Rocket tried to run to her as well, ears pricked forward, whining just a little bit when she met the end of the leash. I urged D to try again, and I let go of the leash, and Rocket ran hesitantly at first, expecting to meet the jerk of the end of the leash, before running bouncingly towards D's open arms. What a sweet lady!

Nick walked the gentle lady, Ava, whose sweet earnestness makes us both wish that we could steal her away... Alas, I think she would be much missed by Luv-a-Bull, so we will have to settle for the joy of seeing her now and again. Seriously, you don't know adorable until you have an Ava paw on your leg as she looks up at you so sincerely.

Upon our return, we switched out the doggies, cuddling and drying their wet and dirty paws (which a little Mr. Ricky didn't think too highly of), and then it was Gideon and Uma's turn! We had been warned that Uma might not want to walk, so we were half expected to walk with only Giddy, but upon suiting her up and heading out into the now sunny day, she took off running, pulling me up the hill behind her until we got to the path. There we turned and saw only D behind us, and it was actually Giddy that was lagging! But shortly, a Giddy appeared between the trees, running happily alongside Nick. After a brief stint walking the very excited Uma, I switched to walking Giddy. I had never thought I would refer to Giddy as the "mellow one" for walking, but ooh, Uma has herself some energy!

Giddy was doing great with name recognition and paying attention to the person who was walking him, he's really made so much progress. He's such an intelligent dog! By the end of the walk, even Uma was walking by Nick comfortably and even checking in with him (would have been an adorable pic, when I glanced behind to see Nick walking with Uma looking up at him, so sweetly!).

Upon our return, we spent our time split between the back hall with Uma (we brought Ava back for some extra doggy time for her) and cuddled the two pups on the couch after feeding them. At one point, poor Uma almost fell off the couch in her attempts to span both my lap and Nick's, which was quite a feat since I was on the couch and Nick was crouched in front of it. Next, we went into the main room, where Deb had prepared and dished out all the foods for the pups. They seemed less interested in eating then in cuddling us, but they eventually managed it!

With that, and with a tinge of sadness from all the human visitors, our week ended with the three of us driving away, looking back at a window with three doggy faces and 6 paws on the window.
