The Good
Well, about the only good news I could scrap out of the horrible day I had yesterday. Dad has been trying to win me this 20 liter fridge from Mountain Dew, by putting the points he gets from soda bottle caps into this drawing. Well he won, because yesterday the UPS truck came by and dropped off a package with the fridge inside. It has a car adapter too, which is neat. It's a small little thing, maybe holds 8 bottles and a bunch of cans on the top rack. It also can heat up or something too. So I'll have that for college, which is neat.
The Bad
But bad news struck just before he called me at work to tell me he won the frige, I got a call from the Regional Manager who was calling to say that I couldn't keep my position as Key Holder and that I was being demoted. All because I am not 18 yet. Not only do I lose the 40 hours I have been working every week, but I lose the 1.25 raise I got, and I start my time back over for the tuition funds. (You have to be a fulltime/keyholder for 6 months and then you can get nearly 2,000 dollars for college a semester.) So back to minimum wage, back to 32 hours a week... *sigh* I just hope I can ask to be keyholder right when I turn 18 so I'll have that when I move to Philly.
The Ugly
I've been having a hell of a time finding a car. Ok... not a car. A VW bug. Everytime something seems good, something happens and I can't get it. I really want a lime green, diesel, 2002ish with decent mileage for about 10,000, also being an automatic would be great. It's just not there. Which is really sad. I wasted my two days off looking at this one that I was ok with, just to find out we think she is lying to us about it (it's a private dealer) and that it's been in an accident. It's just a rough time trying to find what I want.
Some slightly good news on the side. Jon Bonkowski came into EB, like he normally does and brought a friend this time, didn't catch his name, we were talking and he asked how much he could sell the PSP for. I told him the price, but I also asked how good of a condition it was in. He said it was fine, he has hardly used it and just doesn't care for it. I told him I was also interested in buying one and said that I would buy it off of him for more than what the store will give. So today I might be buying a PSP for 85, giving it isn't screwed up. Which will make me much happier since I lost mine at the choir trip. (More so it was stolen) I'll also have it for the plane ride to Kansas City, which is the end of this month. I still have to pick out two photos of mine to bring. So if anyone has anything they think would be particularly great for the competition that I've taken, please say so. Though I don't think many people even bother to read this journal anymore.
Here's to hoping today goes better than yesterday!
