Help the Victims of Hurricane Katrina
This is for the people who live around me. I didn't filter anyone out, though, because I thought it was a great idea and maybe somewhere by you guys could do this too.
Family 2 Family is an opportunity for us to reach out in love to the thousands of families recently affected by Hurricane Katrina. These Hygiene Kits requested by Convoy of Hope will greatly accelerate the relief efforts, and this is a wonderful opportunity for out District to work together in making this happen. Items included in the Family 2 Family Hygiene Kit are the most commonly requested personal care items. By providing these kits, we can brighten the lvies of needy families devastated by this disaster.
Hygiene Kit Shopping List
1 Hand Towel
1 Wash Cloth
1 Comb (pocket sized)
1 Bar of Soap
1 Toothbrush
1 Toothpaste (4-5 oz. size)
1 Shampoo (Travel Size)
1 1-Gal Ziploc Bag
Important Packing Instructions
Place exact items in Ziploc bags. Remember that any variations in the contents could result in the rejection of the entire shipping containter. All items neeed to be in their origional packaging. Please DO NOT include printed materials, personal notes, cash, or anything else not indicated.
(For easy packaging and storage, completed bags may be placed in a "banana box" obtained at the grocery store. One banana box wll hold around 20 bags.)
If you guys could do just one bag, and then give it to ME, it'll be a ton of help. Our church is collecting them and shipping them to Fa-Ho-Lo, which is shipping it down south. So just give them to me.
Also, I have like, a million toothbrushes, so if you get everything else, I can give you a toothbrush so you don't have to go get that. Because we're not using them all. I know Rite-Aid has a lot of the travel sized items and stuff for like, .70 cents. If you have questions, come talk to me. Get these to me at least before the 18. They have to go down the 19th.
