(no subject)
i'm actually moved into UT. classes start tomorrow! i'm hoping i can find all my classrooms!! i know where each building is, but not really where the actual classrooms are.
it's weird being here. a little hard and scary at first, but it's definitely getting better.
i'm just still worried that i won't make friends. ugh, stressed about it. but i'm starting to make friends, so hopefully that will continue 300%.
i think i'll make a lot of friends at the bcm [baptist collegiate ministry] house because it is amazing there. it's really close to my dorm- one of the closest buildings actually. i went there sunday night for open house and i LOVED it so much. they have new students groups on monday nights and their worship service [TNT] on thursday nights.
i'm going through sorority recruitment/rush. it's been so dang crazy. a little awkward, but kinda fun too. there are thirteen sororities we visited saturday for go greek round. each for ten minutes. it was so hectic. then sunday i got six invitations back, so i'm working during round one on visiting those as well. i went to two last night and will go to four tonight. these are for 40 minutes and you learn about their philanthropies and service and whatnot. it's less crazy than the go greek round was. you can meet more girls. it's still a bit awkward and small-talk-y, but oh well. the next round i go to the ones who invite me back and the put on a skit and stuff. it's supposed to be more fun and less pressure than the past two rounds. so, we'll see how it goes.
cara and i had a time finding the cafeteria last night lol. actually, we never found it. we just found the food court thing. so that worked for now.
i swear i've walked 100 miles since i got here friday. no joke. this place is huge! i wouldn't mind it, but it's 12000 degrees outside, so it makes walking a bit uncomfortable.. especially on these hills. i've actually lost 3 or 4 pounds since we got here. i didn't have much food to eat for awhile either lol, so i guess that contributes as well.
i guess that's about all i have to say.
