Honestly, I never trusted the silent, emotionless midget.
I am still angry, upset, disappointed, and stunned.
Prior to going to the Czech Republic, I wasn't a huge Nicky Hayden fan. I followed his AMA career as I have been going to AMA races now for YEARS. He became really cocky and while wasn't actually rude to people, acted like the sun rose and set on him.
Obviously, I didn't get to interact with him when he went to MotoGP and watched as him struggle a lot at first- and less as the years past. After seeing the anti-Nicky sentiment in europe and arguing that hard work means as much as talent sometimes (and nobody agreeing with me) I realized the things that Nicky must have overcome this year to be where he was before Estoril.
This year has been a lucky year for Nicky. I fully feel that Valentino is the better rider, (hell I don't think we'll see someone that has the same talent as Valentinos again in my lifetime) but I also feel that Nicky has worked REALLY hard this year to finish well and finish consistantly. To be taken out by your own teammate at a time in the season where it matters most is devistating.
