Thanks everyone for all the wonderful comments! My hospital experience has definitely changed the way I think about patients (and doctors and nurses). I'm still here at home until Wednesday when Mom and I will go back to Philly for chemo on Thursday and Friday. I have felt good the past two days and I thank everyone for their prayers. I still have to figure out what to do about my exams but school is still being wonderful and flexible about all the re-scheduling.
I have decided not to do Bridging the Gaps this summer. I need to concentrate on healing my body before I undertake anything else. I would have to go to work every day and then radiation and as of now a trip to Wal-Mart totally wipes me out. I would really love to do it but the timing couldn't be worse. Plus, I can't risk leaving my partner if I would get sick again.
I'm looking forward to being back at my house and continuing to study for my finals...studying is what feels normal to me.
