I'd say I had a good birthday, not very exciting, but I got a lot of stuff done, and got to spend time with friends. Maybe next year I'll have a crazy party or something. Maybe next year I'll have a house that I could have a crazy party in... Oh well.
It would seem that most of my friends at least are entertained by my vegetarianism, as evidenced by my super cool new cook book (thanks
darthcad) and new book on vegetable gardening! I'm excited. I'm looking forward to cooking a lot more, now that I'm done with worrying about the GRE. I have lots of recipes that I'm going to try; I might write up a little bit about each one and let everyone know how they turn out in case anyone would like to try one of them.
Other news in my life: Crazy prozac cat (aka. P.K.F.U.) desperately needs his prescription filled so that we can combat his, eh, special nature. Neeko the fat is shedding everywhere, big chunky clumps of long black cat fur, and as always Pippin's fur is a force to be reckoned with. The car wash vaccuums couldn't even begin to tackle his additions to our car's upholstery, so I'm gonna bring out the extension cord and the dyson and see what I can do sometime this week. The ferrets (specifically Thor) are being very loud in their cage, constantly thwacking the cage bars. And then you let the little buggers out and they go dig a nest in the back of the refrigerator. Grrr. The Heather is not happy with the tube weasels this week.
I also want to figure out something cheap and fun to do on Sunday, as sort of a late birthday celebration. I'd like to go play in a river or lake somewhere, if all the water hasn't dried up from the 100+ degree temperatures this week.
Oh yes, and on a completely unrelated note, they will apparently be having a blood drive at dragon con, and I would like to try to give, maybe on thursday or friday. I've been anemic the last two times I went, but since then I've gone on a multi-vitamin so hopefully that will have resolved itself. I guess that's everything for now, Happy Wednesday everyone!
