It never ends!
Last two weeks we've had quick dual sampling runs at the chicken processing/slaughter plant. We've got another one this week, (tomorrow, to be exact.) Lots of work, no LJ updates. I know, I'm bad.
Scout the fantabulous Wookie-like grumpkin foster dog didn't get adopted on Saturday. Sigh. Poor Scout-y. We did some shopping this weekend, getting a much needed dog house (for when we don't have the foster dog so that we can leave Pip outside), and birthday presents for the party in two weeks. Also some important grocery-like items from Sam's Club (Hooray for bulk spring greens!) Oh yes, and I also got some plant stakes, because my poor tomato bushes are about to collapse under the weight of the one-two tomatoes that on each of them. My Tiny Tim plant has at least 23 little tasty tomatoes just ripening away!
I'll be going in Thursday or Friday afternoon to work on a schedule with my academic advisor for the fall. I still don't know if she will be expecting me to do work in the lab during July or not... She's in for a rude awakening if she is. I'm not cancelling the trip to Texas, since it is the only one I'm going to be making this year, and my mom will be getting a hysterectomy, and it's alreayd been planned for about 5 months now. Plus poor Lisa would officially go into panic mode if I was out of here a month early! Oh well, we'll see.
Also, made these yesterday; very tasty!
