Savannah is well worth the trip. One day is plenty of time to see the city, but two days allows you to do it at a slower pace. So yeah, you must go to Savannah. Must I say!
Camping. Yes, we are trying to plan a weekend with Jules right now. Might be the first full weekend in June (7th and 8th). It is still up in the air at the moment.
Go ahead and take a day to do Stone Mountain before it gets too hot. It is a nice little 1.4 mile hike to the top and , of course, another 1.4 miles to the bottom. The view from the top is worth it. There are plenty of other hiking trails there as well and they all go around the base of the mountain. You only have to pay to get into the park, hiking is free after that. Last time I checked, it was $8 per car to get in.
If you just want to hike and you don't care where, then there are tons of places to hike in the mountains. GA has more water falls than just about any other state. I haven't hiked a trail yet that didn't have at least one near the end. You can even hike the Appalachian Trail in GA and get a certificate if you hike all 75 miles of it in GA.
Luckily, you don't have to hike the entire 75 miles all at once. The GA Appalachian Trail is broken up in to a few smaller trails that are all about 5-10 miles long each. Each of these smaller trails have defined start and stop points.
