Out of my Comfort Zone: Make-Up

This one is possibly even scarier than the children post...

I'll start out simply: I don't wear makeup. I've had it on for my senior pictures, my wedding pictures/ceremony, and for Halloween/recital/drama constumes. That's it. For very special occasions I will put on colored lip gloss, and I always have a chap-stick/ lip balm with me, but that is seriously it.

So as to my thoughts on makeup: I think a lot of people wear WAY too much of it. But hey, it's their face; if they want to look like a clown they are more than welcome to do so. I've seen plenty of people who do look very good with a tasteful amount of makeup on, and I'm sure that if I was to wear it I could also look just as dazzling. But I don't want to. I feel like it's a waste of my money. (Another ten or twenty years may lead to a change in that opinion as my face deteriorates)

I absolutely despise the idea of cosmectic animal testing, and if/when I do buy/wear makeup, it will be a product that is not tested on animals. Cosmetics are in no way a necessity, and they certainly aren't saving any lives, so the very idea of torturing and killing a bunch of helpless animals for nothing more than vanity is repulsive in the extreme to me.

And those are my thoughts on makeup.
