I think this is a bit interesting.....yay for the session tonight!!!! I definitely need it. I am playing the crumhorn in a renaissance ensemble.....we've named our group the screaming weasles.....because that's what we sound like. Crumhorn was/is a forerunner to the modern bassoon....they look slightly like a curved umbrella handle with teeny-tiny holes in it. It would help rehearsal if we could get through a phrase without laughing hysterically. You can bend the pitch on these things more than a half step with just your breath....bizzarre. Have buried myself in my gypsy research....sort of. I got my refund back today, so this weekend is furniture shopping. I get a real bed!!!! And a table!!!! Yay for me. I'm still very intimidated by everyone around me, and I think the next two years are going to be very telling career-wise. I guess I'll just suck it up and do it. There's not really another choice. Yes I suck now, and I'm a little on the dim side, but I can get better.....I can get better....I can, I can, I can. My new mantra. Anyway, off to PMAO (practice my ass off).
