Procrastination

I should be doing my homework for Dr. Fresne's MUE 444 class....oh well. I can't wait until October is over, because maybe then I can get some sleep. So we found out last week that they were accepting audition packets for the James Galway masterclass. Unfortunately, all of the shit including the CD is due tomorrow in Hattiesburg. So basically I crammed some of my Junior recital on a CD and sent it to them. They're only accepting two, so my chances are miniscule at best. But it would still be cool to be chosen. We are spending the night in Hattiesburg Laura, and I will take you up on your offer of housing. :) I'll let you know concrete details when I get them.
I got promoted in Soo Bahk on Saturday. I have a green belt now, which requires that I trim my uniform in green as well. Normally I would have a while before I would have to have it done, but as I'm competing in a tournament on Saturday in Atlanta, I get to go and see if I can find the fabric and trim it before we leave on Friday. I also got to learn a new form (choreographed sequence of movements), which really concentrates on breathing. It's really cool.
Talked to Dr. Macaluso about my Fulbright grant. It's due Oct. 21, and I think I'll go crazy before then. All of the crap that needs to be done. It's a little overwhelming.
I'll apply for both graduation and student teaching this week. It's crazy. I'm also trying to program my recital. I know there's stuff I want to do, but I don't want to go to her with this program and have her laugh in my face and say, "Really you think you can pull that off?" My weird fear of failures
...anyway. I don't feel like I'm about to graduate from undergraduate school. I feel....well I don't know how I feel. But I've been reading about all of these people who are in the graduate programs I'm looking at. God, one of the guys in the masters program in Limerick has put out a CD of traditional Irish music. A chick getting her Masters at U of Michigan used to be principal in an orchestra in California. And I stack up how?
Anyway, I'm off to do some elementary music stuff for Dr. Fresne. My list of children's songs I know is up to 56 as of now. I'm hoping to top a hundred before the nights over! :)
