request (way at the end, after the babbling)
estrella30 is currently sharing secrets, and I feel like doing so too! I don't know why I exclaimed that, but that's just how defensive I am, I guess.
- I'll start off with aural sekrits because I'm easily influenced, and she mentioned the Dixie Chicks. I haven't heard their new album, but I want to because I just remembered that (secret-alert!) Cowboy Take Me Away is one of my favourite songs EVER. For that matter, Fly is one of my favourite cds EVER. I mean, SERIOUSLY good, fun, sing-your-heart-out-with-the-windows-down-in-the-car kind of joy. OH HUSH. This leads to the next supa-sekrit:
- I get all antsy when people open my My Music folder or my playlists OR HELL, HEAR MY PHONE RING because I expect they'll judge me based on it. But considering last night all I listened to was Britney Spears: Greatest Hits maybe it wouldn't be so harsh of them.
- I want to say that I haven't been posting because I've been so caught up with the World Cup, but you know what? That would be a big fat lie. I'm just incredibly lazy/busy/moody/good/weird/doc. (You can insert your own Dwarf here as you see fit.)
- Speaking of, but I doubt this is a secret, I am emphatically NOT disappointed that Trinidad & Tobago didn't make to the final 16. They played better than they've ever played before and they fought so hard and I'm proud. (Ooh! And I'll post those pics with Christopher Birchall one day.)
- This is one people who know me probably wouldn't believe, but apart from the first two T&T matches? I haven't seen any other games in their entirety. I do think I'm lucky enough to have seen the crucial bits though. Such as David Beckham puking his guts out and, I kid not, making it look good and Brian McBride getting his face elbowed and bleeding this totally hot way (NO, IT REALLY WAS HOT) and of course, a good bit of the Most Violent and Hilarious (for me, at least) Game Ever, Portugal vs Netherlands (LOVE C Ronaldo, HATE Ruud and HATE my most hated player EVER, Figo.)
- People at my office are currently not working as they're all a bunch of Brazil-freaks. Personally, Ghana have played the best football I've seen of the tournament so far (though, like I said, I only saw like half of one of their matches) and I hope they kick their yellow asses. Damn, I love me some football.
- OMG. Yesterday, early morning, on the way to work, I saw the hottest thing ever. I was passing through this area I've never passed before, and I was all *curiously glances around* and I saw this huge, square-ish, yellow-painted house with all these flowering-plants-adorned (COULD THIS HAVE ANY MORE HYPHENS? I'm too lazy to edit) small balconies in various places. Now granted, though the house was super-pretty in a city-like area of semi-pretty houses, this was not the hot thing. On one of the second floor cute balconies, there was this guy on his cellphone. Wearing only low-slung pajama bottoms. And barefooted. And to be perfectly honest, my eyes never reached his face really (but peripherally? he looked attractive there too); all I saw was the abs and low-slung pjs and the bare-footed-ness and the sunlight and the flower-lined balcony and it was HOT. The secret of the story: I'm... horny? I don't know.
- I have to pick up my Naomi Novik trilogy from the bookstore today after ordering them, like AGES AGO. That's not much of a secret, you say? Well bite me, I say.
- I want a new smell. Ha! But seriously, I do. I want to get a new perfume but when I go to, there are only so many areas of my wrists that I can try testers on until they start to fuse and I get confused. I mean, I know what I like on guys, 'cause hello! Great-smelling guys are awesome. But I have very few ideas about female perfumes - mainly from my friends, but I don't want to smell like them! UNIQUE SNOWFLAKE and all that. In particular, I loved this, I think, Jessica McClintock egyptian_queen had/has which always made me either sit very close to her when she wore it (AS IF I NEED AN EXCUSE :D) or prop my chin up with my hand when I stole some. So with that vague idea of what I'd like, I come with a request -- nay, a plea -- Ladies! Guys! Anybody! recommend you favourite (female) scent to me please?
