(no subject)
So, still haven't really found a job yet. I swear, I've applied to everywhere in Burlington, but I haven't heard back from anyone. But I might have a part-time job back at my old job as an administrative assistant. It would only be like 24 hours a week, which isn't as good as the 35-hour-a-week assistant jobs I applied for, but it's something at least. If anything, I can just work there until I find a better job.
My birthday weekend wasn't bad. Friday night I went to dinner at Blacktree with my family. Matteo sent us out a bottle of the best champagne I've ever tasted and I managed to get moderately tipsy off of it. Saturday was my birthday dinner + party with friends. I invited about 15 of my friends, but only 3 could make it to the dinner and only a few more could make it to the party. So that kind of ruined my mood for the day and I ended up not putting very much effort into the party or anything. Sunday my extended family came over for sushi and cake and presents.
This weekend my cousin came to visit and we went to Blacktree again, haha. No food in Burlington even begins to compare to this restaurant. We also saw Prince Caspian and I was kind of disappointed. The attempt at humour with the talking animals really didn't work. Ben Barnes and William Mosely more than made up for it with eye candy though! Saturday I finally went out to a bar with my cousin, but it didn't really get fun until we started hanging out with a group of British guys. They were older, so there was no flirting going on from either side, which was really nice. We just got drunk and had a good conversation about music and Manchester United.
Also, I've become addicted to Twilight! I finished the first two books in three days and now I'm making my way through the third one. I never thought I'd find another series I would like as much as the Harry Potter series. And I'm actually pretty excited for the movie - they selected great actors for all the roles.
