This summer has had a slow start, but I blame it on the crappy weather. It's the middle of May, but the temperature has only been around 15 degrees celsius for the past two weeks with fairly little sun. I can't wait until it gets warmer so I can spend more time outside.

So I've spent the past two weeks submitting my resume to countless places and I haven't heard back from any places except one, and now the perfect job may have just fallen into my lap. I was doing some website testing for my friend's dad's company for some quick cash and then I got an email from the woman who had been recording my thoughts on the website, asking me to come in for an interview for a job! I'm not getting my hopes up or anything (...except I totally am!) but I really hope it works out.

I've also been doing some partying and hanging out with friends, but it's hard to think of things to do that we haven't already done a thousand times. Again, I think things will get better once it gets warmer because there will be so many more things to do! On Monday Paula, Erynn and I went on a really long walk and ended up downtown, where we got coffee. It was fun, but it got really cold when it got dark. :(

I've also developed an unhealthy obsession with 80's movies. The Breakfast Club has always been one of my favourite movies, but I hadn't seen it in a while, so I spent last week rewatching it way too many times. And then I went out and bought Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, St. Elmo's Fire, Weird Science, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off and watched them all too, haha. The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire are my favourites, I think, because I could really connect with all the characters. I wasn't too impressed by Sixteen Candles as I found the characters to be so shallow and one-dimensional. I was expecting a lot more, considering it was a John Hughes movie.
