Tsukigumi Top announcements make me come out of LJ hibernation.

I'm back in Bonn, back in student housing with decent internet, and I still fail at being a student. But let's not talk about depressing stuff like studying, k?
Karneval season is in full swing. I have performances nearly every day, and Thursday will, like always, be a tour through the whole city from early morning till evening, with about 10 performances on the way. Yaaay.
(Could we just skip next Monday? I HATE the parade days. HATE HATE HATE.)
Now, after we've got that out of the way...
LET'S TALK ABOUT TODAY'S NEWS.
They totally announced it on Valentine's day on purpose, didn't they. >_>
I'm still not actually sure how I feel about this. I mean sure, I wanted Masao as Top with Mirio as nibante EVENTUALLY, but I was actually in favour of them getting a few more years of experience in first. I'm also kind of pessimistic what that means for Eritan in the long run. I really hope she won't pull a Yumiko on us or anything. And sure, it was more or less a done thing that Chapi would become musume Top sooner rather than later the way they were promoting her lately, but still... isn't this a BIT early? A year ago she was still wearing trousers on stage, is all I'm saying.
On the other hand, I LOVE MasaMiri like whoa, and Chapi is made of awesome, and we get Tsuki Tops that are entirely Tsuki-grown, so let's just hope for the best? ^^"
Though, what the hell does "demi" Top Star even mean? I've read in Ekusudei's journal that this apparently happened in the 70's and 80's a few times, does anybody know anything about that? I mean, they can't be making them switch roles every other week like they made them do when Kiriyan became Top, right? That would make them equal in all but the name, and also... can you imagine the STRESS it must be to learn the text and choreo and all that entails for BOTH the lead role and the nibante role every show? >__> I don't want them to retire in a year, ok? Being Top is exhausting enough already.
... Also, does that mean the two of them will retire at the same time (oh God please NO DDD:), or will Mirio take over as "full" Top when Masao retires?

First thing… how fitting, that Masao’s Top debut shall be Shakespeare. X3 It’s like somebody decided back in ‘08 that clearly, Masao and Shakespeare were a Golden Combi all on their own. She probably has her name stamp on all the Shakespeare scripts that are lying around at the company at the moment. XD
Also, Guys, I love this show. It is the very first show that I ever saw live, and it gave me huge crushes on Kimu AND Kitarou. But, BECAUSE it was the first show I ever saw live, comparisons will be nigh inevitable, even though I really don’t want to compare my favourite kumi with my second favourite kumi, and I'm confident that Tsuki will succeed in making this show entirely their own and will ROCK it. Still, my first instinctual reaction was something like "OHHHHHH... hm".
Not to mention that... are they making RomiJuri the new Elisabeth or what? .____.
I'M SUPER EXCITED ABOUT ALL THE CASTING POSSIBILITIES THOUGH :D :D :D. First, because we don't even know what will be the nibante role here (are we gonna call the nibante role the "demi-top" role from now on?). Friends on facebook have been gushing about Tybalt, but let's not forget that Chigi was Mercutio in the Yuki version. Then, we don't even know yet if the demi thing means we will get to see both Masao and Mirio in Top and nibante roles. Sure, Masao as Tybalt would be something to cream one's panties over. But I would also be SUPER DUPER happy if the nibante role was Mercutio and Magee got to be Tybalt instead. Which would probably make Toshi Benvolio? Shimon takes Paris and Suzuna takes the nurse?
Also, who do you people recon will get Death and Love?
Not to forget, we still don't know where exactly Miyacchi will fall in the new order of things, either.
... so yeah, I'm primarily excited at this development.
Now I have to run and do my make up. Two performances today. \O/
