Asking Around

My very good, personal friend blazingeternity will be making a tour through Japan this summer. She asked me to help her find night busses. The only direct route I could not find for her was Fukuoka -> Nagoya for the night of August the 24th. So we thought about it, and decided I'd accompany her to Nagoya and then continue straight on to my already planned stay in Tokyo, and we would share a Seishun 18 Ticket between the two of us.

For those of you who don't know what that is, it is a ticket sold by JR during holidays, it costs a little more than 10.000 yen, it is seperated into 5 little tickets (which then locically cost a little more than 2000 yen per ticket) that either one person can use for five days, or it can be split between several people. Each of those little tickets enable you to use ALL the local, non-express JR trains throughout Japan for a whole day. That is insanely cheap, but on the other hand it would mean using local train after local train after local train after local train, and it would take us from early in the morning till the late afternoon (that is, if there are no complications). So it's cheap, but quite stressful, especially considering blazingeternity will have a suitcase with her and I a travel bag (since I'm staying in Tokyo till Sep 4th).

IF ANY OF YOU SHOULD KNOW AN INEXPENSIVE, LESS HASSLING WAY OF GETTING TO NAGOYA FROM KYUSHU, OR IF ANY OF YOU HAVE TRAVELED WITH THE SEISHUN 18 TICKET BEFORE AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE EXPERIENCES, ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Thank you for your attention. :D
