(Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...) (edit: IF you comment with such a request, prepare to wait a while for an actual assignment. I'm one of the most uncreative people ever. However, should YOU have prompts for me to fill, I can totally do that! XD)

Arashi Synopsis
When Uehara Ranmaru’s flower shop in Osaka is nearly robbed, he does not realize at first that the robbers are there to chase the lost son back home to his mother’s Ikebana school in Tokyo, nor that one of the robbers is his close childhood friend Izumi Hikaru. With the two “robbers” now working at the flower shop together with Ranmaru and his hired help, they will learn to understand the similarity of the language of flowers and the language of people’s hearts.
Tokyograph Cast
Aiba Masaki as Uehara Ranmaru
Comes from an old Ikebana family in Tokyo. Stubborn, hot-headed, very direct. Got into fights a lot when he was young and has thus developed a dislike for meeting new people or having to deal with many people at once. Is, however, fiercely loyal to his friends.
Likes flowers, but prefers growing and cultivating them more than arranging them in some dusty room with a handfull of old ladies (or fangirls) ogling him. Has had quite a few fights with his mother because he doesn’t want to take over the family business even though he’s the only son. When his mother drags him to an omiai against his will, he flips and leaves home in a hissy fit. Thusly opens the “Hanano” in Osaka.
However, he hates dealing with customers, so he hires Junpei as soon as he gets the chance and shuts himself out in the gardens behind the shop as often as he possibly can. Deals with the customers when Junpei is attending college lectures and has learned to play with his good looks while doing so. Most of the female customers think he’s the cutest, most charming guy there ever was.
Nearly beats “the robbers” to bloody pulps with the shop’s broomstick and forces Hikaru and Masato to work for him for free as punishment.
Has a thing for feisty, older women, but kicks everyone who dares compare his girlfriends with his mother (“Not that I don’t love my mother, but… ewww.”). Is aggressively defensive about his “girly” name.
Matsumoto Jun as Izumi Hikaru
From Tokyo. Ranmaru’s childhood friend, used to his moods and gives as good as he gets when the situation calls for it. Flamingly gay and out. Happy-go-lucky, extroverted nature, very friendly towards everyone he meets.
Got guilt-talked by Uehara Ranko to help and make Ranmaru give up the shop and come home. Moves in with Ranmaru into his apartment above the shop after the failed robbery and starts helping with the customers when Junpei is in college.
Was a nerd as a kid. Has been secretly in love with Ranmaru since ge hot saved by him from the mean boys in elementary school. Sleeps his way through half of gay Japan to distract himself from the fact that Ranmaru is as straight as an arrow.
Worked in a boutique in Tokyo and models every now and then.
Uchi Hiroki as Kojima Junpei
Osaka native. Tends the shop half-time, lives across the street. Is a student of biology. Black belt in Karate. Kind, friendly, a rather quiet kind of person.
Has gotten a bit protective over Ranmaru because he thought the reason for Ranmaru fleeing to Osaka had to be something really tragic and/or traumatising. Thus over-reacts at the fake-robbery and prepares to defend Ranmaru against the robbers with his mad karate skillz, until Ranmaru takes out the broomstick.
He and Masato do have quite a hard time with each other in the beginning, due to their opposite characters, but get inseperable after a while.
Junpei has a moral problem with Hikaru sleeping around so much and gets pissy every time one of Hikaru’s conquests enters the shop, thus making some of the female customers think he’s jealous. However, he’s secretly relieved that with Hikaru showing up, Ranmaru now has someone equal to bitch at.
Gets a crush of epic proportions the instant he meets Minako.
Miura Haruma as Akiyama Masato
Osaka native. Got to know Hikaru through modeling and goes out to drink with him whenever they happen to be in the same city. Very extroverted, spur-of-the moment guy. Gets himself in all kinds of trouble by speaking/acting faster than he can think.
Comes up with the plan to fake-rob the Hanano to scare Ranmaru and make him go home, then proceeds to talk Hikaru into it (with lots of alcohol and the promise of giving him the number of that hot, tall guy they modeled with the other day).
Models quite a lot while trying to get a place at a school for fashion design. Starts making deliveries for the Hanano to keep himself occupied in the meantime.
Develops a close friendship with Junpei who keeps him grounded with his quiet, thoughtful personality.
Asano Yuko as Uehara Ranko
Ranmaru’s mother. Took over the Ikebana school when her husband died. Fierce, strong-willed, direct, but also quite loving. Was quite hot-headed in her youth but has toned it down quite a bit since getting married. Sees it as her duty to her husband to let Ranmaru continue the family business. Spoiled her only son a lot when he was younger and is now trying to find a nice, well-adjusted girl for him to balance out his bad temper (that he obviously inherited from her). Has a bit out-dated views on marriage and does not really approve of Ranmaru constantly dating women older than himself.
Sets up an omiai with Minako on her quest to get Ranmaru happily married and drags him there despite his protests, insisting it’s for his own good. Gets in a huge row with him directly in front of the restaurant and is furious (and horribly embarrassed) when he storms off. Does not try to contact him after his departure for Osaka for weeks even though she’s upset. Then talks Hikaru into helping her bring Ranmaru back so she won’t have to go and apologize.
Kanno Miho as Morimoto Kana
Ranmaru’s girlfriend, four years older than him. Works in advertisement and is pretty high up the food chain. Strong, independent, outgoing, keen sense of humor.
Does not usually date younger guys, but the attraction between her and Ranmaru is pretty instantaneous and impossible to ignore. She tries to write him off as a one-night-stand, but gives up when he shows up in her office a week later with a giant bouquet of red carnations, coriander and dandelions and takes her out for lunch.
Gets a kick out of traumatising Hikaru by making out with Ranmaru over the shop’s counter.
Is a bit wary of Minako in the beginning but quickly warms up to her earnestness. The both of them strike up an easy friendship.
Kanjiya Shihori as Shirozuki Minako
One of the students of the Uehara school. Her family owns a prestigious ryokan and her mother is friends with Uehara Ranko. Student of business administration. Elegant, level-headed, strong sense of duty and responsibility. Appears to be rather quiet and fragile at first glance, but is in fact very self-assured and out-spoken if the need arises.
Gets quite annoyed with Ranmaru when he storms off at the omiai without getting to know her or even greet her properly and resolves to teach him some manners if she gets the chance. Starts an internship in Osaka and finds the Hanano quite by coincidence, then tries to make Ranmaru apologize to her without losing her temper. Comes around afterwards when she has the time because she likes the atmosphere at the shop and because she becomes quite fond of the guys. At one point meets Kana and is quite impressed with her status as an independent, working woman. Is the first to initiate a conversation between the both of them.

Ishida Ayumi as Customers of the week (and their significant others)
Customers of the week come into the shop and most often have some kind of crisis that they want to make better by buying (and giving) flowers. The guys help them by making the perfect bouquet for whatever message they want to get across and gain a bit of life experience in the meantime themselves.

Hikaru's conquests of the week
Hikaru’s conquests of the week either come into the shop after a night with Hikaru and flirt shamelessly with him, or they accompany Hikaru from a date and flirt shamelessly with him, or they come to take him out for a night clubbing and flirt shamelessly with him, or they accompany Hikaru out of the apartment after a night of lots of sex when Ranmaru has spent the night at Kana’s and flirt shamelessly with him. There's also that one evening when Ranmaru and Kana stumble into the apartment, kissing, and surprise Hikaru and his conquest in a compromising position on the kitchen table. Either way, a lot of groping, invasion of personal space and occasional making out is to be seen. This is often followed by a verbal bitchfight between Hikaru and Junpei about the appropriateness of such actions, or a verbal bitchfight between Hikaru and Ranmaru about the question if snogging your older girlfriend or your male fling is more traumatising for onlookers, or a bet between Junpei and Masato about how long this week’s guy will last.
*looks up* My goodness, what a monster. I wish I could write fanfic in that length. >___<"
