Woo Hoo! It's My Saturday!
And darn, am I happy about that! Glad not to have to be at work today, since work, I know it, is slowly eating away at my last remaining brain cells. Which is a bad thing! I haven't done too much today - my in-laws, whom I picked up at the airport last night (they went to Vegas for a few days), went home about an hour ago. They're really cool - I'm very lucky to have in-laws who like me, and even laugh at my lame jokes. And, my doggie loves 'em.:)
Speaking of relatives, my Mom is coming up to visit next month! She's about the coolest person on planet Earth, seriously. While she's here, I plan to indoctrinate er, introduce her to Samurai Champloo, which I am still deeply in love with. I swear, it's one of the best series I've ever seen, animated or live action. And it doesn't hurt that the two male leads are in fact and indeed my cartoon boyfriends...
So what's on the docket for today? Well, working more at getting new work. I have to e-mail an ex-coworker of mine who made the transition from news to PR, and see maybe if she can't forward along a copy of her resume. I think if I get a look at how someone else did it, it could inspire me to actually write something I can present to other people. Also, my job coach has a potential gig he says he could help me out with, so I need to write him back and tell him I'm definitely interested.
Other than that, I've been kicking more butt on Rock Band, cuddling with the Corgi, hugging the husband (wow, I'm on an alliteration kick here), and generally finding new and innovative ways to waste precious time. Hey, at least time doesn't cost $4.00 a gallon these days!:D
